One of the heavy metals
that one can get poisoned too is iron. Iron poisoning occurs when an
adult, or a child will swallow large amounts of iron-containing
pills that usually come from vitamin supplements. It can also be
taken from iron salt like ferrous sulfate which is available in
multiple preparations. Ferrous sulfate can be distributed in drops,
syrup, elixir, tablets and capsules.
Symptoms for iron poisoning are felt within 6 hours after a large
amount has been swallowed. The following symptoms that a patient can
experience from getting poisoned are severe vomiting, abdominal
pains, diarrhea, dehydration and lethargy. If poisoning becomes
worse, if it is not treated immediately then shock and death can
occur. Now, if there is such a thing as iron poisoning wouldn't be
Tony stark with his Iron Man costume be poisoned right now?
We all know Iron Man right? He is a fictional superhero that appeared
first in comic books that were published by Marvel Comics. The man
inside the Iron Man character is Tony stark, the industrialist
playboy, genius and inventor who created the power suit of armor to
protect his life and the world. Tony stark with his metal armor is
always exposed to heavy metals, the comics should mention such a
possibility. Yes, we all know that this is fiction ,but Tony stark
back then also dealt with real life problems such as alcoholism and
bankruptcy. I should say, having metal poisoning would much be a
closer sickness compared to the others.
Then it is not only iron Tony Stark needs to worry about too because
the character uses different types of metals. So he needs to worry
about mercury arsenic and other heavy metals. Mercury is dangerous
because it can it is much closer to us. It is present in the fish we
eat, the products that we use at homes, the materials that a dentist
use and many more. Its symptoms can be tremors, insomnia,
neuromuscular changes, headaches, skin rashes, mood swings, memory
loss, mental disturbance and muscle weakness.
Then arsenic is dangerous too. It is also found in food, water,
household items, tobacco smoke, laundry detergent, bone meal, beer
and sea food. It symptoms include headaches, drowsiness,
convulsions, diarrhea, vomiting, cramping muscles, blood in the
urine, stomach pain, hair loss and more.
So Marvel Comics needs to tackle heavy metal poisoning with their
Iron Man character because the sickness is just too close with the
superhero. His battle with heavy metals will also create a problem
because his armor is killing him. This is a big dilemma, the
character is killing himself while protecting the world. No villain
can come close to Iron Man than heavy metal poisoning can. They
would also help inform people about the sickness caused by the
poisoning and its cure, ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid or EDTA
chelation therapy
For every sickness comes a cure and the Tony Stark character will
treat himself with Ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid or EDTA
chelation therapy thus making people aware about the dangers of
heavy metal poisoning.
What a concept! They should pay me for this.
